In 1999 I co-founded 8bitpeoples.com and for the past 10 years I have kept it running while writing and releasing my own music, performing over 150 live shows around the world, and holding down a day job. In September, 2008 I left my job to return to school, studying new media art at New York University. It was time for a change.

Since 2006, the amount of work required to keep 8bitpeoples going has increased considerably as we have continued to grow and been involved in the organization of large-scale events such as Blip Festival. The next few years only promise to get more interesting.

I have made the choice to take a leap of faith and do something that I've wanted to do for a very long time -- to throw myself wholeheartedly behind 8bitpeoples and dedicate more time to making music, performing, and exploring new directions in computer art. This will undoubtedly be a bumpy journey, but I am dedicated to the decision and absolutely confident that it is the right thing to do.

So, if you ever downloaded one of my songs and enjoyed it, came to one of my performances and danced until you were soaked through with sweat, or saw something in my art that resonated with you, maybe you'll consider donating something. Whatever you think it's worth, so that I might be able to continue doing this for another 10 years.

Thank you all.
