NULLSLEEP employs obsolete hardware and a DIY ethos to produce lo-tek hi-nrg music – mutating and intersecting jungle, footwork, acid, chiptune, and gabber. He is the founder of 8bitpeoples, a netlabel focused on music made with early home computers and video game consoles in a deliberate rejection of intended uses and planned obsolescence.

His technical writing on programming music for the Nintendo Entertainment System was published by O'Reilly Media and he has been featured in WIRED, The New York Times, Frieze, and Vogue.
